Life Drawing week 8

In this session I was restricted to only using charcoal and I had to explore this as a media by using the side of a charcoal stick and using a rubber to define the light tones. There was three seperate poses all of the model laying down on the cloth in different positions. In the bottom image I smoothered the page black and tried to use a rubber to define the light tones of the figure, I found this hard as the rubber got immediately black so had little effect to the charcoal on the page. The above two images I tried experimenting with different thicknesses of line and found the outcomes for this approach was much stronger.
