In my first set of thumbnails I have tried to visualise how my ideas could form into a tableu vivant - style scene. There is something very gloomy and sinister of the use of blood splatters, fingernail scratches, messages and shadows because it is evidence that there was and maybe still a presence within the room. I am particular proud of image five where the message is repeated and the thought has become obsessive and driving the agressive state of mind. I also like image six with the shattered glass because it is symbolic to the fragile mind of the invented character and how one dark thought can tip the balance into insanity. I will focus on these successes when producing more thumbnails.

  1. sounds very, 'abandoned asylum like', *nods
are a bit like house on a haunted hill (when they show the people that lived there before).

  2. I think 'blood splatters' are probably 'too much' - remember 'ambiguity' - don't undo the tension in your scene by giving the viewer an easy out. If you want to unsettle someone, you need to remove/give information in an interpretative tug-of-war - don't close the story down - open it up...
