Artist Inspiration 2 - Brian Froud

I looked at the art fantasy designer, Brian Froud. He created the artwork for the Laybrinth and Dark Crystal, similarly to Rackman's illustrations, Froud has an understanding of natural shapes and how he designs could become a range of unsual creatures and environments to create fantasy worlds

I like the illustrations where the creature bursts through the natural shapes, such as the faries through the leaves or use of pineconesor insect forms.

Froud uses the shapes as a starting point to make his designs feel very real and well placed into the story.
