The traps include the net and pressure plate trap but I struggled to get a working design. I quite like the pincer traps but would it fit into the idea of the character capturing creatures for his cilents. However with this particular creature you could argue that it would work because of it's layers of blubber protect the whale from serious damage. I also like the idea of a self closing net or cage as shown in the bottom left corner.
