Disc Artwork Final

This is my final design for the artwork, including the unit number and title to make it clearer, which project it covers.

These are my first attempts at the CD/ DVD artwork/ branding. I really like the text because it feels very much like the opening for a story.

Preparatory Storyboards

I have completed Act 2 and 3 and worked roughly where I want the camera angles and how the story will progress so that now I can begin the final storyboards.

Beluga whale Concept

I looked at the concept and made further refinements and twicks, also resolving the problem of the background that was stopping the impact of the whale. I also took bits out with the eraser and adding extra shadow and highlights to complete it. I have including the progression again to show the complete build up as well as the new decision making and new silhoutte at the bottom. 

Concept - Warehouse

I tried to resolve the concept from my previous attempt by simply adding more shadow in the background and resizing the glass containers. I also made the creatures infront more visible by adding more highlights, I added the progression stages again to show the set up of the composition.

Concept - Arctic Sea above scene

In my story I mention an establishing shot and Jacob looking out to the Arctic Sea so it was relevant for me to design a concept for this. I took a lot of ideas from my research and how the sea is covered in ice mountains formed over time due to the cold temperature, also how smaller chunks have broken off. I have included the progressional stages below that show that I used a guide line to plot out the composition.

Trombone Concept

This is the concept for the trombone, I changed the structure during the process because it felt too fake and thought it would look more silly and akward if based on a proper design. I like how this resulted in the end, I have added the progression stages and second silhoutte at the bottom to show where I made the changes.

Jacob Scrimshaw Concept

This is the concept for Jacob Scrimshaw as it stands, I also need to include the concept of him in the frogman/ diver gear. This took quite a while to complete but I am happy with the result. I have included the progression stages below, as well as the changes I had to make along the way. I have also included the new silhoutte at the bottom as the structure has changed.
