Image References for Fantasy Mutant characters 3 - Mythological

Another variation of mutated creatures is in mythology, especially ancient Greek where people were said to have transformed as punishment for sacrilege to the gods. A lot of human and animal splices were popular as visual reference in the past and still are today in comics, films, games and television. I felt this was another resourceful set of images that most certainly inspire the fantasy theme and could be argued mutants as well with more of a back story as to what the transformation has given and taken from them. I will research further, looking into more contemporary examples of other games and films that could also be a huge inspiration and build up more understanding of fantasy creature design to help me with my task.
