I produced some more ideas using the carved wood/ sculpture theme, using shapes from research and tweaking basic shapes to get different results from the previous page.
To be honest I prefer the previous character (with the added beak). It still needs work on the legs but it has a much simpler and more satisfying shape structure. I suggest going back to that a keep one and keep refining.
