Kojo Walk Cycle 4

I have simply taken out the movement for the head and wing folds and think it is working a lot better than the previous version and I feel happy enough to render this now.

Kojo short bird hop sequence 3

I added a break between the first hop and the remaining two to make it feel more natural and made the first hop faster. I have tweaked the other movements to match and made the sequence longer. I will work on the section where Kojo dips his head down and onwards as I feel this happens too immediately after the hops and refine further.

Kojo Walk Cycle 3

Some more tweaking and experimenting of taking some out adding more in. I will improve it further by reducing the amount moving e.g I think I might take out the movement of the wing fold as it distracts some of the body movement.

Kojo short bird hop sequence 2

I made the hop faster and added more bird - like mannerisms. I shall improve this further, maybe add a break in the hop section so that it doesn't happen at one and maybe vary the speeds.

Kojo Walk Cycle 2

I added a swagger to the body and head to exaggerate the strut and to emphasize more of Kojo's personality. I have also changed some of the feet placement keeping within the same frame limit as before. I will see what else I can do for the head and eyes and will continue to refine.

Kojo short bird hop sequence 1

This is another short sequence that I want to include alongside the walk cycle, I looked at references of how small birds hop along the ground and tried to find a way of how my character would make this bird - like action. I will keep refining this alongside the walk cycle and try to finalise these for submission and experiment with speeds, duration, etc until I think it suits my character.

Final Render of Kojo in the Tribal Village

Logo Possible Final and Poster 2

I liked the cream and red colours as I felt the white with the dark brown didn't have the Africa feel so used the colours to create this version.

I then added the logo to the poster to look at it as a whole, comments are welcome to suggest what people think.

Logo Designs Developed

I took what I liked from the previous designs, deciding that I liked the tribal patterns, the trees and bird and then mixed them together.

Logo Designs

I felt I needed a logo to give the game an identity and a connection of how to brand and advertise it, I looked at some Nick Jr shows and what they have done and then looked back at my research and what I have made and how that could tie into the design.

Promotional Poster 1

This was a first attempt of thinking about branding I decided on the title 'Kojo's Accident In Africa' from the plot of the game and going back to the project brief I was thinking about how the identity could translate into a series which was the purpose for in ...

I like the image setup and I included the promotional logos of what the game has been designed for. The title is still WIP and will try and design this more into a logo and try different colour combinations from the palette I created earlier.

Kojo Walk Cycle 1

I have attempted to begin a walk cycle that gives off the personality of my character that reflects that Kojo is the guide know it all so is strut - like. This is still early stages and will refine this further, I also hope to have another version where Kojo is hoping in a bird - like stance.

I looked back at the walk cycle tutorials to get an idea of where the key frames need to be as reference.

Kojo Turnaround 2 Final Version

Kojo Turnaround 1 Trail

This was my first attempt where I placed Kojo on a rock but wasn't happy with this one as where he span round it looked like he was hovering above it so I have also produced another version where the character is bigger and the main focus that will follow in the next post.

Environment Lighting Part 2

I have painted a sunset for the background to keep to the feel of the style and moved some of the back objects and made some darker as they go off into the distance.
