Art of Jack Frost

Art of Jack Frost

Demo Reel Shot

Using the same set up for my Final Renders, I edited the camera angle and pose to make it feel more dynamic. I wasn't sure if I would composite a video turnaround in time but have done a lot more to this model than I thought possible and happy with the outcome. I may update the demo reel at a later time and get a video turnaround done depending on the feedback tomorrow.

Final Render Shots

I decided to produce still images my final outcome as a gallery style render that was in the tutorials. They are of the four major angles to give a sense of the 3D quality of the model.

Jack Frost Skinned

I have tried to do skin the character the best I can so that I can now at least pose it a bit to render the final stills.

Technical Paper

I decided to chose the modelling stage as the focus as I felt a learnt a lot more about myself and improved in modelling by using this technique.

Jack Frost Final Texture

This is the texture I chose as I felt it fitted closest to the original concept.

Jack Frost Texture development

I have worked on the texturing most of the day and have developed it something I am happy with. I hope to get the model skinned to least pose it. The Final Texture and Map will feature in the next post. Below are developed textures and Maps

Jack Frost Modelling Update - Jack Frost Complete Model 1

All the parts are together and the normals are smoothed down where needed. I have taken screen shots of different angles and focused on close up details. I will now progress to the UV Layouts.

Jack Frost Modelling Update - 7

I worked back into the hair piece, lower arm and torso to finish off the remaining parts so now I have all the sections ready to start fitting together where I will tweak and reduce the geomentry if needed.
